WILL of CHARITY DYSART (no date recorded- abt 1821): To my belovedsister-in-law Margaret Jack, widow of my brother Samuel Jack, deceased,of Clarke County, I give the proceeds from the sale of a negro womannamed Jebber and her daughter Phillis, negro to be advertised and sol.

CODICIL: by laws of the State of Georgia, it is impractable by will orotherwise to emancipate a certain negro woman named Phillis and in asmuch as I am desirous of rewarding her for faithfulness, I do herebyappoint my friends Thomas W. Grimes and James H. Nickelson trustees onbehalf of said woman, Phillis, as her trustee and guardian to exercisethe right of ownership over her so far as to protect and defend her fromall unlawful acts or trespasses committed on her by other persons butgiving....INCOMPLETE, NO DATE SHOWN HERE.
