John HANBY 
John was born on November 16th, 1771 in Pittsylvania Co., Va. John's father was Jonathan HANBY and his mother was Sarah Matilda DALTON. His paternal grandparents were John HANBY and Susannah Thompson; his maternal grandparents were Samuel DALTON and Ann Dandridge "Nancy" REDD. He had four brothers and four sisters, named David, Samuel, Gabriel, William, Susannah, Nancy, Jane and Sarah Dalton. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 42 in 1813 in Lee Co., Va.General Notes
