Elbert Pritchett Epperson 
Elbert Pritchett was born on January 1st, 1920 in Provo, Utah, UT. Elbert Pritchett's father was Lawrence Theophilus Epperson and his mother was Mary Loretta Pritchett. His paternal grandparents were Sidney Theophilus Epperson and Julia Eliza Van Wagenen; his maternal grandparents were Napoleon Bonapart Pritchett and Olive Loretta Sanders. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Lawrence Leon, Vaughn Elmo, Sidney LeRoy, Living, Ruby Loretta, Earlene, Beatrice Virginia and Lillian Marylene. He died at the age of 87 on May 30th, 2007 in Holladay, Salt Lake, UT.General Notes
Elbert Pritchett Epperson Brigham City, Utah Elbert Pritchett Epperson left this mortal life on May 30, 2007. He was born in Provo, Utah on January 1, 1920 to Lawrence T. and Loretta Pritchett Epperson. Elbert attended West High School, graduating in 1936. From 1936-38 he attended the Univ. of Utah, and George Washington University from 1938-39, when he finally got an appointment to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, NY. His class graduated early, in January 1943. Soon thereafter he married Jeanne Clark. After more training, Elbert reached Utah Beach on July 1, 1944. As a mortar platoon leader, Elbert was blinded by enemy tank fire the next month. Sight returned to one eye, and General Eisenhower assigned him to the war room in Versailles and Rheims, France, where Elbert conducted daily briefings of troop movements the remainder of the war. He attended Command General Staff College as a Captain, and studied at Columbia University where he received a Master in International Relations in 1951. Elbert and Jeanne divorced, and Elbert married W. Leslie Livingston in 1954. They were sealed in the Manti Temple in 1956. Elbert worked at Lockheed and Thiokol until 1968. He then spent six years in South Vietnam, and two years in Iran. Elbert lived for the corps, and duty, honor, country, and was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved to fly and write books, and is predeceased by his wife, Leslie. Elbert is survived by his six children, Charles (Gail) Clark, Sandra (Ron) Fenske, Dwight (Jillyn), Mark, Eric (Diana) and Kym Epperson, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and brothers Leon (Suellen) of Provo, Vaughn (Margaret Ann) of Salt Lake City, and Gerald (Maria) of Tulsa. Special thanks to Dr. Crystal Owens at Care Source, and the nursing team of Barbara, Cindy, Joe, Amy, Nancy, Nedra, Kay, Jay, and Geniel and to Cheri Uzzel at Alta Ridge, and her staff, Glenna, Maria, Diana, Lesma, Indra, Kristin, and Grace. Also to the many friends and neighbors, for their love and support. Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 4, 2007 at 12 Noon at Brigham City Cemetery, A viewing will be held Monday, June 4, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City Following graveside services military honors will be accorded by the American Legion Honor Guard.
