His paternal grandparents were James GILLESPIE and Isabella Gillespie. He had seven brothers and three sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Lee, Calvin S., Harvey T, William Henry, Henry M, Thomas B, Rufus, Isabella, Emmazetta, Rebecca and UNKNOWN. He was the second oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 61 on August 26th, 1878 in Wolfe, KY.General Notes
