Nancy Emoline was born on May 13th, 1843 in Chatham Hill, Smyth, Va. Nancy Emoline's father was John Poplar GILLESPIE and her mother is Mary Beaver (Nancy) Thomas. Her paternal grandparents are Elijah GILLESPIE and Mary Nancy HEWETT; her maternal grandparents are Kemp Thomas and Nancy Barber. She had four brothers and three sisters, named William, Archibald, Ellsberry, Leander, Mary Jane, Susanna and Luellen. She was the second oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 54 on July 12th, 1897 in Ness City, Ness, KS.General Notes
