Squire Morris was born on November 1st, 1845 in Kanawha Co., VA. Squire Morris' father was James Alexander Edens and his mother is Arinda Hubbard. His paternal grandparents are Jesse Edens and Dorthy Willis Davis. He was an only child. He died at the age of 55 in 1900 in Kanawha Co., WV.
‌Squire Morris and Nancy Jane were married in a religious ceremony on September 5th, 1873 in Kanawha Co. WV. They had four sons and two daughters, named William Joseph, Alfred F., James A., Robert Stanton, Eliza Jane and Alice Susan.
