Robert Stanton was born on March 4th, 1893 in Poca District, Kanawha Co., WV. Robert Stanton's father was Squire Morris Edens and his mother was Nancy Jane Walker. His paternal grandfather was James Alexander Edens and his paternal grandmother is Arinda Hubbard. He had three brothers and two sisters, named William Joseph, Alfred F., James A., Eliza Jane and Alice Susan. He was the youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 64 on October 30th, 1957 in Charleston, Kanawha Co. WV.-
