Nicholas Thomas was born on September 6th, 1881 in Riverton, Salt Lake County, Utah, USA.  Nicholas Thomas' father was Robert Dansie and his mother was Paulina Silcock.  His maternal grandparents were Nicholas Thomas Silcock and Jane Heath. He had three brothers and eight sisters, named Mahonri Moriancumer, Charles Alfred, Chauncey Millard, Roseina Harriet, Annie Louise, Edna Pearl, Electa Hortense, Mary Isabelle, Roberta Sarahann, Percy Jewell and Ida Pauline.  He was the oldest of the twelve children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Robert Moroni, Alma and Charlotte Jane.  He died at the age of 30 on March 12th, 1912 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah, USA.  He was buried in Riverton, Salt Lake County, Utah, USA.1 2
