John B. Crockett 
John B. was born on August 10th, 1759 in , Washington, NC. John B.'s father was Robert David "The Elder" Crockett and his mother was Elizabeth Hedge. His paternal grandfather was William D. Crockett and his paternal grandmother is Elizabeth Boulay; his maternal grandparents are Jonas Hedge and Elizabeth UNKNOWN. He had five brothers and a sister, named William, Robert E., Joseph, James William, Alexander and Esther. He died at the age of 75 in 1834 in Green County, IN.General Notes

BIOGRAPHY: Note: John Crockett served with the "Over-theMountain" men under Colonel Issac Shelby at the battle of Kings Mountain, SC during the Revolutionary War. He was the presiding Magistrate when Andrew Jackson received his license to practice law. He was a commissioner for building roads and served as a Frontier Ranger in 1783. His name appears on the 1783 Tax List for Green County, North Carolina. He lived on Limestone Creek in that county when his son, David Stern "Davey" Crockett was born, and a few years later moved to a place in the same county about 10 miles North of the present town of Greenville, Tennessee. The family's next move was to Cove Creek, where he built a mill, in partnership with Thomas Gailbraith. In 1794, a flood destroyed his house and the mill, leaving him heavily in debt. He again moved the family, this time to Jefferson (now Hambelin) County, Tennessee where he built a log cabin-tavern on the road between Knoxville, Tennessee and Abington, Virginia. John B. and Rebecca Sullivan were married in a religious ceremony in 1775 in Washington, VA (now Greene & Sullivan Co., TN). They had seven sons and four daughters, named James William, Aaron D., Nathan, Patterson, Wilson, David "Davey" Stern, John Wilson, Sarah E., Elizabeth, Margaret and Rebecca.
