William Mitchell was born about 1698 in Va. William Mitchell's father was Henry CLAY and his mother was Mary MITCHELL. His paternal grandparents were Charles CLAY and Hannah WILSON; his maternal grandfather was William MITCHELL and his maternal grandmother is Elizabeth INNES.
