William Archibald CARTER 
William Archibald was born on November 12th, 1858 in Sumter, Georgia. William Archibald's father was Littleberry Walker CARTER and his mother was Maryann Diligente SEALS. His paternal grandparents were Wiley CARTER and Ann ANSLEY; his maternal grandparents were William Archibald SEALS and Eliza HARRIS. He had a brother and four sisters, named Jeremiah Calvin, Eliza Ann, UNKNOWN, UNKNOWN and Nannie Bell. He was the third oldest of the six children.
