James CARTER 
James was born in 1773 in Hereford, North Carolina. James' father was Kindred CARTER. His paternal grandparents were Isaac CARTER and Ruth UNKNOWN. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Henry, UNKNOWN, Jesse, Martha and UNKNOWN. He was the oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 85 on July 19th, 1858 in Schley, Georgia.General Notes
