May 2, 1777 (Spotsylvania County, VA Records 1721 -1800, pg.330):Daniel Branham and Susanna, his wife, of Spts. Co. to Gawin Corbin ofCaroline Co., Esqr. 165 pounds currency 264 a. in Spts Co. Jos. Brock,Robt Smith, Rhos. Colson, Aaron Dinney, Jno. Chew. June 19, 1777. Thisis proof that Daniel was married to Susanna.
May 11, 1787 (Spotsylvania County, VA Deed Book L 1785-1788, pg. 411):Danl. Branham of Spots. Co. Deed of Gifts to his children. To hiseldest daughter,m Sarah Branham, 1 slave, goods and chattels, etc,etc.; to his son Robt. Branham (when 21 years old), 1 negro, goods,and chattels; to his son James Branham (when 21 years old), 1 negroand goods and chattels. Witnesses: Tavener Branham, Jno. Brock, Jr.Novr. 6, 1787.
