Edward was born on September 9th, 1746 in Petersburg, Dinwiddie, Virginia. Edward's father was John II BOLLING and his mother was Elizabeth Bland BLAIR. His paternal grandfather is John Bolling and his paternal grandmother was Mary KENNON; his maternal grandparents were Archibald BLAIR and Sarah ARCHER. He had twelve brothers and eight sisters, named Archibald, William L., Jared, Benjamin, James Thomas, John Blair W., Robert, Rodney, Rolfe, Archibald, Powhatan, James, Metoaka, Elizabeth, Martha, Dorothea, Jane, Mary, Sarah and Anne. He was the sixth youngest of the twenty-one children. He died at the age of 23 on August 10th, 1770 in Of, , Virginia.General Notes
