Thomas was born in 1775 in Hillsborough, Randolph, North Carolina. Thomas' father was Thomas Allred and his mother was Elizabeth Diffee. His paternal grandfather was John ALDRIDGE and his paternal grandmother is Ann or Annie Hamilton; his maternal grandfather was William Diffee and his maternal grandmother is Betty Ann UNKNOWN. He had fourteen brothers and five sisters, named William, James, James, Elias, Elias, John, John, Moses, Moses, Eli, Eli, Levi, Levi, Thomas, Ruth, Rachel, Rachael, Elizabeth and Elizabeth. He was the second youngest of the twenty children. He died before 1843.General Notes
