His paternal grandfather was John ALDRIDGE and his paternal grandmother is Ann or Annie Hamilton; his maternal grandfather was William Diffee and his maternal grandmother is Betty Ann UNKNOWN. He had fourteen brothers and five sisters, named William, James, James, Elias, John, John, Moses, Moses, Eli, Eli, Levi, Levi, Thomas, Thomas, Ruth, Rachel, Rachael, Elizabeth and Elizabeth.
