Anna M. was born on May 2nd, 1872 in Fairview, Sanpete, Utah, USA. Anna M.'s father was James Martin Allred and her mother was Christianne Gustave Anderson. Her paternal grandparents were Isaac Allred and Julia Ann Taylor. She had eight brothers and two sisters, named James Christopher, John Frank, Emanuel Andres, Lewis, Junius Sidney, Leegrand, Frederick Homer, Dorcas Amelia, Mary Elizabeth and Ida May. She was the third oldest of the eleven children. She had six half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Isaac Willard, Martin Wilford, George Alma, Ernest Rudolphus, Lawrence, Leroy Edgar, Martha Ellen, Anna Eliza, Sarah Frances, Mary Arletta and Minnie Elzina.
