Samuel was born on December 25th, 1845 in Liberty Twp., Henry Co., IN. Samuel's father is Abraham Abbott and his mother was Barbara Hoover. His maternal grandparents were Frederick Hoover and Catharine BRUMBAUGH. He had seven sisters named Catherine, Margaret, Sarah, Elizabeth, Mary, Susan Ann and Rachael. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 81 on November 28th, 1927 in Wayne, IN.-
