John ASSHETON

John was born in 1624 in Of, Whalley, Lancashire, England and his baptism took place about February 3rd, 1621 in Of, Whalley Abbey, Whalley, Lancashire, England.  John's father was Ralph ASHTON and his mother was Eleanor SHUTTLEWORTH. He had nine brothers and two sisters, named Richard, Alexander, Thomas, Nicholas, Radcliffe, James, John, Edmund, William, Anne and Johanna.  He was the third youngest of the twelve children.  He died at the age of 72 on June 9th, 1696 in Of, Gisburn, Yorkshire, England.  He was buried on June 18th, 1696.
