James ASHTON

James was born in 1618 and his baptism took place on August 14th, 1618 in Whalley, Lancashire, England.  James' father was Ralph ASHTON and his mother was Eleanor SHUTTLEWORTH. He had nine brothers and two sisters, named Richard, Alexander, Thomas, Nicholas, Radcliffe, John, Edmund, John, William, Anne and Johanna.  He is the sixth oldest of the twelve children.
