Whether or not John Spofford is the father of the Anna who married Richard Swan is not proven.  An Anna Spofford was born September 1598 to John Spofford in Kirk Ella,  England, this based on parish records provided by Alex Spofforth of the UK to Robert Spafford and is posted at <http://members.aol.com/robert1056/annaspof/kedbase.htm>.  While, if true, this pieces a lot of information together, the one item that suggests caution is that Anna's last child was born in March 1644 which, if she had been born in 1598, would make her 45.5 years old at the child's birth.  Provisionally, she is being listed as John's daughter because it is a plausible relationship.
