Andrew McClish was born on April 17th, 1816 in Norfolk co, Ontario, CN.1 Andrew McClish's father was Andrew McClish McCleish and his mother was Phoebe Amy Montross. His maternal grandparents were Peter Montross and Leah Mabee Mabie. He had eleven sisters named Fanny McClish, Mary McClish, Martha Maria McClish, Eleanor McClish, Margaret McClish, Christina, Amy McClish, Rebecca Jane McClish, Phoebe, Ann Maria McClish and Leah McClish. He was the third youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 63 on April 23rd, 1879 in Aylmer, Ont, CN.1 General Notes

!MARRIAGES:First to Mary Jane Franklin, born 16 May 1821, died 1 Dec 1866, mar. 2nd Mrs. Mary Dolan Titus., born 1824, died 1891, res. Waslingham Twp. then Malahide Twp., Elgin co, Ont. had 6 children, all in Mabie book.
His son, Andrew born 1844, lived in Walsingham Twp and then moved to Michigan.
Andrew McCleish, the only son, was twice married. By his first wife, Jane Franklin, he had three sons, Andrew, George and Austin; and three daughters, Sarah, Rachel and Helen. Subsequently he married Mrs. Titus, nee Mary Dolan, by whom he had one son, Bruce. Mr. McCleish settled in Walsingham, and died in Aylmer when about sixty years old, and none of his children remain in Norfolk. The sons are all in the States --Andrew being in Michigan, one daughter settled in Manitoba, one in Aldborough, and Helen married James Chute, and settled on Nova Scotia Street, Malahide. The name has become extinct in Norfolk.
