Peter was born in Tarrytown, Westchester, New York, U.S.A..1 Peter's father was Harmen Jansen and his mother was Magaret Mantras. His paternal grandparents were Jan Harmse and Aeltje Abrahamsen; his maternal grandparents were Pierre Mantras and Marguerite David. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Jan Harmse, Jacob, Harmen, Rachel, Margaret and Aeltje. He died in 1790.1 General Notes
