Ellen was born about 1404 in ,,,England.1 Ellen's father was Randle Mainwaring and her mother was Margery De Venables. Her paternal grandparents were William Mainwaring and Elizabeth Leycester; her maternal grandparents were 9th Baron of Kinderton de Venables Hugh and Margery Cotton. She had four brothers and five sisters, named John, William, Randle, Ralph, Elizabeth, Margarey, Cecily, Joan and Agnes. She was the third youngest of the ten children. She had a half-sister named Margery. She died in Gawsworth, Ches., England.1 General Notes
