Ontje Everts was born on March 14th, 1845 in Driever, Ostfriesland, Germany.1 Ontje Everts' father was Evert Berends Hennings and his mother was Hilke Ontjes Van Mark. His paternal grandparents were Beene Everts Hennings and Jantie Janna Filips; his maternal grandparents were Ontje Abben Van Mark and Mechel Geerds. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Evert Abbe, Beene, Mechellina, Mechellina, Janna Christina Evert and Beenetta. He was the second youngest of the seven children.1 General Notes
