Richard Giffard 
Richard was born about 1331 in Twyford, Buckinghamshie, England.1 Richard's father was Sir John Giffard and his mother was Lucy De Morteyn. His paternal grandparents were John Giffard Le Boef and Alexandra De Gardiano; his maternal grandparents were John De Morteyn and Joan De Rothwell. He had four brothers named John, Nicolas, Gilbert and Thomas. He was the second oldest of the five children.-
