John of Warkworth FitzRobert 
John of Warkworth was born about 1195.1 John of Warkworth's father was 2md Baron Warkworth Fitzroger Robert and his mother was Margaret de Chesney. His paternal grandparents were Roger FitzRichard and Adeliza De Vere; his maternal grandparents were William de Chesney and Albreda de Poynings. He had a brother and a sister, named Hugh and Alice. He was the second oldest of the three children. He died in 1240.1 General Notes

3rd feudal Baron of Warkworth
Surety for the Observance of the Magna Carta. At the time of the meeting of the barons at Saint Edmundsbury, this baron was still loyal to King John, and was with John Marshall, joint governor of the castles of Norwich and Oxford, but subsequently he joined the insurrection and took such a prominent part that his lands were seized by the King and confiscated. Returning to his allegiance in the next reign, his castles and vast estates were returned to him and he was constituted, by King Henry III, High Sheriff of County Northumberland and Governor of New Castle-upon-Tyne. He died 1240. He had by his wife, Ada Baloil, sons Hugh, Robert, and his successor, Roger FitzJohn, Lord of Warkworth and Clavering.
