Was a knight of William Malet, by whom he was enfeoffed of Horsford where
he built his castle. He married Sybil the daughter and heiress of Ralph
deCanieto (Chenny,) Lord of Ling in Norfolk, which latter came to England
with King William the Conqueror. Ralph gave the Manor of Coxford to his
daughter at the time of her marriage
