Gossuin De Avesnes

Gossuin was born about 1138 in Of, Oizy, Namur, Belgium.¹ Gossuin's father was Wauthier De Oisy and his mother was Ade Or. His paternal grandparents were Fastre De Oisy and Richil De. He had four brothers and a sister, named Nicolas, Thierry, Evrard, Fastre and Petronille. He was the second youngest of the six children.
