Fastre De Avesnes

Fastre was born about 1140 in Of, Oizy, Namur, Belgium.¹ Fastre's father was Wauthier De Oisy and his mother was Ade Or. His paternal grandparents were Fastre De Oisy and Richil De. He had four brothers and a sister, named Nicolas, Thierry, Evrard, Gossuin and Petronille. He was the youngest of the six children.
