John Soule was born before March 31st, 1607 in Leiden, S-Hllnd, Holland and his baptism took place in Leyden, South Holland, Hol, Netherlands.1   John Soule's father was Francis Cooke and his mother was Hester Le Mahieu.  His paternal grandparents were Richard Cooke and Alice Caunton; his maternal grandparents were Jacques Jan Le Mahieu and Jeanne (Jennie) Mrs Jeanne. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Josiah, Jacob, Jane, Elizabeth, Hester and Mary.  He was the oldest of the seven children.  He died on November 9th, 1694 in Darthmouth, Bristol, Massachusetts.  He was buried on December 18th, 1694 in Plymouth, Plymouth, Massachusetts.1 1
