Francis Cooke 
Francis was born on April 25th, 1577 in Scrooby, Nottinghamshire, England and his baptism took place there on November 26th, 1577.1 Francis' father was Richard Cooke and his mother was Alice Caunton. His paternal grandparents were Anthony Cooke and Anne Fitzwilliam; his maternal grandparents were Richard Caunton and Jennie. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Anthony, John, Philippa, Anne and Mildred. He was the youngest of the six children. HISTFRANCIS COOKE IMMIGRATED TO AMERICA ABOARD THE MAYFLOWER WITH HIS SON JOHN. HESTER AND THE OTHER CHILDREN ARRIVED ON THE'LITTLEJAMES'/ 'ANNE' CROSSING IN 1623. IN THE ARCHIVES OF LEYDON, NETHERLANDS, IT IS RECORDED THAT FRANCES ENT EREDHOLLAND ON JUN 30 1603. HE WAS A BACHELOR, AND LISTED HIS OCCUPATION AS A WOOLCOMBER. HE WAS ACCOMPANIED BY PHILLIPPE DE VEAU, RALPH ROELANDT, HESTER MA HIEU, HER MOTHER JENNIE MAMAM MAHIEU, AND HER SISTER JENNIE MAHIEU.
HISTFRAN CIS WAS MADE A FREEMAN IN 1633. HE APPEARRED FREQUENTLY ON PLYMOUTH RECORDS IN GRAND JURIES, SURVEYOR OF HIGHWAYS, AD HOC COMMITEES, AND LAND TRANSACTIONS.
