Sir Richard was born about 1392.1 Sir Richard's father was Richard Champernoun and his mother was Katherine Daubeney. His paternal grandparents were Sir Thomas Champernowne and Eleanor de Rohart; his maternal grandparents were Sir Giles Daubeney and Alianore De Wilington. He had two brothers named Hugh and John. He was the second oldest of the three children. He had a half-brother named Alexander. He died in 1418.1 General Notes
