Sir John the Elder Carew

Sir John the Elder was born about 1283.¹ Sir John the Elder's father was Sir Nicholas De Carew and his mother was Amicia Peverell. His paternal grandparents were Baron Nicholas De Carew and Avice Tuitt; his maternal grandparents were Hugh Peverell and Elizabeth (Margaret) Cobham. He had three brothers named David, Thomas and William. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Thomas, Nicholas and Beatrix. He died on June 26th, 1324.¹
