Charles II was born in 1248 in , Isle de Chypne, Sicily, Italy.1   Charles II's father was UNKNOWN UNKNOWN and his mother was Beatrice de Provence.  His paternal grandparents were Louis VIII "The Lion" Capet and Blanca Alphonsa de Castile; his maternal grandparents were Raimund Berenger de Provence and UNKNOWN UNKNOWN. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Louis, Philip, Robert, Bèatrice, Constance, Blanche and Marie Elizabeth Isabella.  He was the third oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 61 on May 5th, 1309.1

‌Charles II and Maria were married in a religious ceremony in 1270 in <Naples, Napoli, Campania, Italy>.1   They had eight sons and five daughters, named Karoly I Martel, Robert di, Philippe de, Raymond Bérenger di, Jean di, Tristan di, Pierre di, Louis di, Marguerite di, Bianca, Eléonora, Maria and Béatrice di.
