His paternal grandparents were UNKNOWN UNKNOWN and Beatrice de Provence; his maternal grandparents were Istvan V Arpad and Erzsebet Kumans. He had seven brothers and five sisters, named Robert di, Philippe de, Raymond Bérenger di, Jean di, Tristan di, Pierre di, Louis di, Marguerite di, Bianca, Eléonora, Maria and Béatrice di.
