Mary was born about 1255 in Duffus Castle, Morayshire, Scotland.  Mary's father was Freskin de Moravia and her mother was Joan Jonsdottir.  Her paternal grandparents were Walter de Moravia and Ephemia MacTaggart; her maternal grandfather was John Haraldsson. She had a sister named Christian.  She was the younger of the two children.


Mary's family with Reginald le Cheyne

‌Mary and Reginald were married in a religious ceremony before May 1269.1   They had two sons and a daughter, named Reginald, Freskin (Frances) and Christian.
