Her parents were Henry Burt and Eulalia Marche of England. Judah and Mary had at least 9 children. They were Samuel (died in infancy)), Mercy (m. Samuel Allen (also referred as Samuel Allen IV), a barber, had at least 11 children, Nehemiah (died in infancy), Mercy (died young, m. Eliakim Root), Nehemiah (m. #1 Mary ?; m. #2 Hannah Wakeley), Mary Lydia (m. #1 Benjamin Smalley/Small Jr., Commissioned Ensign of the Lower Company of Lebanon in October, 1744.; m. #2 Samuel Galpin), Daniel (m. #1. Martha Bennett; m. #2 Mary Grant), Hester (died a child), Lydia (m. Selah Murray, Sergeant & extensive property owner/farmer), Hester (died in infancy), Joseph (In 1740, Moved to Cornwall, Connecticut. Had acquired two tracts of land in Cornwall Township through government auction & was selectman and moderator of first town meeting, was the father of famous general Ethan Alphonso Allen Sr., m. Esther Scott) and Asahel (lived in Wapping, MA; selectman 5 yrs; ordained deacon Dec 26, 1760; he was a plain man with plain habits; it is told, as characteristic of the man, that he left directions to have no brass nails on his coffin, and that flax strings should be used in place of the usual iron handles, m.
