William Prewit 
William was born on March 10th, 1818 in Knox Co.,KY. William's father was *Elijah Prewit and his mother was *Susannah Katherine DeMoss. His paternal grandparents were *David II Prewit and *Jane Parrott; his maternal grandparents were *Andrew DeMoss and *Elizabeth. He had three brothers and seven sisters, named *Joel P. , Rev., Silas M., Elijah Jr., Elizabeth, Jane, Sarah (Sallie), Anna, Kezie, Mary (Polly) and Susannah. He was the fifth youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 76 on June 11th, 1894.-
