Henry Clinch was born in 1806 in Houston Waters,Bourbon,Kentucky. Henry Clinch's father was Shadrach Pierson and his mother was Rachel Clinch. His paternal grandparents were Charles Pierson and Sally Weathers; his maternal grandparents were Jacob Clinch and Jean Clinch. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Bartholomew, James Weathers, William C., Shadrach , Jr., George Washington, Frances, Nancy, Sally and Casendoneia. He was the youngest of the ten children. He died in Scott County,Indiana.-
