Mary L. was born in 1837. Mary L.'s father was Henry Clinch Pierson and her mother was Louisa Hazzard. Her paternal grandparents were Shadrach Pierson and Rachel Clinch. She had four brothers and two sisters, named George F., Andrew Jackson, Henry C., William D., Rachel C. and Charlotte. She was the second youngest of the seven children.General Notes
