Hazel Evelyn was born on July 24th, 1906 in Joplin,Jasper Co.,MO. Hazel Evelyn's father was John Douglas Pierson and her mother was Mary Ellen Stephens. Her paternal grandparents were John Moneta Pierson and Clarissa Sarah Herriman. She had four brothers and six sisters, named Mack Roy, Son (stillborn), Arthur Lee, John Earl, Daisy (twin) Jewell, Girl (stillborn), Ethel C., Rosa Lee, Golda Pearl and Juanita Oleata. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Dee Witt, Lula Mae and Ossie. She died at the age of 91 on October 23rd, 1997 in Joplin,MO.-
