John Moneta Pierson 
John Moneta was born on March 28th, 1830 in Scott County,Indiana. John Moneta's father was Shadrach , Jr. Pierson and his mother was Jane Eastin. His paternal grandparents were Shadrach Pierson and Rachel Clinch. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Thaddeus P., James, George William, Bartholomew, Jesse, Barton, ?, Drusilla and Margaret. He was the fifth youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 78 on November 19th, 1908 in Baxter Springs,Cherokee,Kansas. He was buried in Baxter Springs,Cherokee,Kansas,City Cemetary, Civil War Section.General Notes
