William Marcus Pierson 
William Marcus was born on August 15th, 1855 in Crawford,Illinois. William Marcus' father was John Moneta Pierson and his mother was Clarissa Sarah Herriman. His paternal grandparents were Shadrach , Jr. Pierson and Jane Eastin; his maternal grandparents were John S. Herriman and Elizabeth F. Gaines. He had five brothers and two sisters, named John Douglas, Elias, Joseph Asa, Shadrach Reason, Charles Lewis, Harriet Emma and Rosa Belle. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 81 on September 19th, 1936 in Peru,Chautauqua,Kansas. He was buried on September 21st, 1936 in Greenwood Cemetary,Sedan,Chtq,Kansas.General Notes
