Dee Witt was born on September 5th, 1891 in Belleville,Jasper Co.,MO. Dee Witt's father was John Douglas Pierson and his mother was Elizabeth Crummel. His paternal grandparents were John Moneta Pierson and Clarissa Sarah Herriman. He had two sisters named Lula Mae and Ossie. He had four half-brothers and seven half-sisters, named Mack Roy, Son (stillborn), Arthur Lee, John Earl, Daisy (twin) Jewell, Girl (stillborn), Ethel C., Rosa Lee, Hazel Evelyn, Golda Pearl and Juanita Oleata. He died at the age of 47 on September 8th, 1938 in Joplin,MO. He was buried in Oak Hill Cemetary,Galena,KS.-
