George Pleydell was born on December 4th, 1817 in of,Smedmore,Dorsetshire,England. George Pleydell's father was John Mansel Lieut-Colo and his mother was Louisa Pleydell. His paternal grandparents were William Mansel Sir Barone and Mary Philipps. He had four brothers and four sisters, named John Clavell |Mansel-, Morton Grove, Owen Luttrell, Arthur Edmund, Eliza Sophia, Caroline Sophia, Louisa Mary and Emma Georgina.
