Joseph Clarence II Hughes 
Joseph Clarence II was born on May 15th, 1896 in Norcatur,Norton Co.,Kansas. Joseph Clarence II's father was Joseph Clarence Hughes and his mother was Elmina Ellen Martin. His paternal grandparents were William I. Hughes and Mahala Rodgers. He had four brothers and four sisters, named William Abraham, John Douglas, George Arthur, Benjamin Franklin, Sarah Ellen, Carrie Rebecca, Rosa Elizabeth and Malulu Florence. He was the youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 69 on September 27th, 1965 in Salem,Oregan.-
