Carrie Rebecca was born on December 16th, 1884 in Winston,Davis Co.,MO. Carrie Rebecca's father was Joseph Clarence Hughes and her mother was Elmina Ellen Martin. Her paternal grandparents were William I. Hughes and Mahala Rodgers. She had five brothers and three sisters, named William Abraham, John Douglas, George Arthur, Benjamin Franklin, Joseph Clarence II, Sarah Ellen, Rosa Elizabeth and Malulu Florence. She was the third oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 57 on January 16th, 1942 in Near Norcatur,Kansas.-
