Sarah Douthitt 
Sarah was born on October 3rd, 1759 in Hope,Rowan County,North Carolina. Sarah's father was John Douthitt and her mother was Mary Elizabeth Scott. Her paternal grandfather was Robert Douthitt. She had seven brothers and three sisters, named John, William (Billy), James, Thomas, Isaac, Abraham, Jacob, Elizabeth, Rebecca and Mary. She was the fifth youngest of the eleven children.
