John Douthitt 
John was born on October 4th, 1742 in Carroll's Manor,Frederick Co. Maryland. John's father was John Douthitt and his mother was Mary Elizabeth Scott. His paternal grandfather was Robert Douthitt. He had six brothers and four sisters, named William (Billy), James, Thomas, Isaac, Abraham, Jacob, Elizabeth, Sarah, Rebecca and Mary. He was the second oldest of the eleven children.
